Accreditation UK scheme is run by the British Council and English UK.
Accreditation UK is a quality assurance scheme for UK schools, colleges, and universities offering courses in English as a Foreign Language (EFL). Our aim is to make sure that students studying at accredited centres are protected and enjoy a quality learning experience in the UK.

English language schools in the UK are regularly inspected by the British Council to ensure that services and facilities continue to be of a high standard. Language schools that meet the agreed standards of quality are accredited by the British Council.

From 31 March 2009, under new UK immigration regulations all students must apply either as an adult student or a child student (under tier 4 of the points-based system). According to the guidelines published on the UK Border Agency website all international students coming to the United Kingdom to study English must present a visa letter from a sponsor (approved education provider, such as an accredited school).
